NAT Classes Overview

Passing Criteria
There are two criterias for passing the exam. The first criteria is that the examinee must score more than the passing score for the exam. The second criteria is that the examinee must score over 25% on each section of the exam. If the requirements are met, examinees will be deemed to have passed the test. (Note: The passing score differs in each exam.) If the score of any section is less than 25%, the examinee fails, even if the total score reaches the passing score of the exam. This rule is intended to ensure an unbiased evaluation of each examinee’s Japanese language ability.
